Ein Großteil der Arbeiten ist bei beiden Modellen (ML 1 und ML 3) gleich.
Sie benötigen folgende Werkzeuge:
Bohrmaschine, Holzbohrer 13 mm, Holzbohrer 2,5 mm, flacher Schrauben- schlüssel (Gabelschlüssel) 12 mm, Metallstift (z. B. Inbusschlüssel) 3 mm Durchmesser, Flachfeile, Rundfeile ca. 2 mm.
A good portion of work is the same for both models (ML 1 and ML 3).
You need the following tools:
Power- drill, wood drill 13 mm, wood drill 2.5 mm, flat Wrench (forked) 12 mm, Allen key 3 mm in diameter, a flat file, round file approx. 2 mm.
Entfernen Sie die Saiten, Stegein- lage und Endknopf Ihrer Gitarre.
Bohren Sie das Loch für die End- knopfbuchse, Durchmesser 13 mm. Achten Sie
darauf, dass die Bohrung genau senkrecht durch den Hinter- klotz der Gitarre
verläuft!
Bohren Sie das Loch (2,5 mm) für den Pickup an einem Ende der Sattelnut in einem Winkel von 45 Grad zur Decke, um ein zu scharfes Abknicken des
Koaxialkabels zu vermeiden. Brechen Sie die Kante zusätzlich mit der Rundfeile. Ent- fernen Sie alle eventuellen Holz- splitter aus der Nut und von der Un- terseite der Decke.
Remove the strings, the saddle and the endpin of your guitar.
Drill the hole for the endpin-jack at 13mm diameter. Make sure that you drill exactly perpendicular into the endblock of the guitar!
Drill the hole (2.5 mm) for the pickup-cable at an end of the saddle groove at an angle of 45 degrees to the top, in order to avoid a too sharp bending of the coaxial cable. Break the edges additionally with the round file. Remove all possible wood splinters from the groove and from the lower surface of the top.
File or sand off approx. 2.3 mm of the lower surface of the saddle, pay
Feilen oder schleifen Sie ca 2,3 mm von der Unterseite der Stegeinlage ab, achten Sie darauf, dass die Flä- che absolut gerade ist. Es ist äu- ßerst wichtig, dass die Stegeinlage
nur vom Druck der Saiten gehalten wird und nicht in der Nut klemmt.
Den mitgelieferten Streifen Fichten- oder Zedernholz können Sie, wenn nötig, als "Stoßdämpfer" zwischen Tonabnehmer und Stegeinlage be- nutzen. Der Ton wird dadurch etwas wärmer.
Durch die 13mm-Bohrung messen Sie die Dicke des Hinterklotzes und stellen dieses Maß mit der großen Mutter an der Endknopfbuchse ein.
Führen Sie die Endknopfbuchse von innen durch die Bohrung. Drehen Sie die
12mm-Mutter von außen auf die Buchse. Vergessen Sie dabei nicht die
Unterlegscheibe! Ziehen Sie die Mutter mit dem Gabelschlüssel fest. Dabei
können Sie die Buchse kon- tern, indem Sie den 3mm-Stift durch die Querbohrung im
Buchsengewin- de führen und festhalten.

The provided wood-strips of spruce or cedar can be placed if necessary as "shock absorbers" between pick-up and saddle.
This way the sound gets somewhat warmer.
Through the 13mm-drilling you measure the thickness of the endblock and adjust the nut of the endpin-jack to this measure.
Guide the endpin-jack from inside the body of the guitar outside through the drilling. Screw on the 12mm nut from the outside onto the endpin-jack. Do not forget the washer! Tighten the nut with the forked wrench. You can counter the endpin-jack by putting the Allen-key into the crosshole of the thread to keep the endpin-jack from turning.
Verlegen Sie die Kabel mittels am Boden befestigtem
Klettband. Führen Sie den Pickup durch die Bohrung in die Stegnut und fixieren Sie die Stegeinlage mit Klebeband darüber.
Beim ML 1 säubern Sie den Platz, an dem Sie die Batterieclips montieren wollen, gründlich. Wir empfehlen, die Batterie
am Boden, etwas oberhalb des Mittelbugs, dicht an der unteren Zarge zu montieren. Stecken Sie die zwei
Batterieclips auf eine 9V Batterie, kleben Sie sie auf die vorbereitete Stelle und schließen Sie die Batterie an.
Ziehen Sie jetzt wieder die Saiten auf.
By means of the Velcro tape attach the cables to the bottom of the guitar. Guide the pickup by the hole into the saddle groove and fix the saddle with tape across it.
For the ML 1 thoroughly clean the spot where you want to install the battery holder. We recommend to mount the battery on the bottom just above the center bottom brace next to the side. Attach the two battery-clips to a 9V battery and place the battery holder onto the prepared spot.
